  Someone from the staff probably should have noticed that my mattress was upside down when they installed it or at least when they made the bed. I had to find out the hard way that it was not just the worst hostel mattress ever, but actually because i was sleeping on the wrong side of a good mattress. Other than that really friendly staff and good facilities. Would recommend if they fix the beds. PS. I would not call the pizza's "gourmet".

  Ash was a lovely smiling face greeting us at the reception to a really cute hostel! Really liked the 'come up with a deal and we'll see if we like it' concept. Prettiest sunsets out, which we appreciated while borrowing the owner's longboards around town (for free! Honestly made our day). Dorm rooms were a little bit warm during the summer with all beds occupied, but was definitely our fav hostel during our South Island trip. Cheers!
